Carol Vernallis studied music videos and found that they are very different from films and TV shows. the first thing she noticed was that edits in a music video are much more faster and frequent, she also noticed that the edits would be in time with the beat of the song. Edits are also made more obvious using effects and other techniques to create a interesting video. she also noticed a lot of videos are disjuncture. Most edits would be Jump cuts and she noticed that the camera also would move in time with the music.
