Thoughts on filming in Brick Lane

Today, I begun the production by filming a few base tracks in Brick Lane, we searched for areas that were covered in street art which was vibrant and colourful and we found lots of them. We used them for the background for the base tracks. We were unable to film in the streets because there was a lot of traffic and people and filming there could've potentially been dangerous and not following the risk assessment.
There were a few negative points to the day, one negative point was the unexpected rain, which affected the lighting of the footage. I protected the camera by holding an umbrella during filming. Another annoying factor was that in one of the areas we filmed in, lots of people kept walking in front of the camera or just stared at our artist, which put him off so we had to wait for the area to be clear to start filming. It took a long time for the area to clear so there are a lot of takes of him rapping then nervously staring at somebody. Overall, I think the filming went well because we got the footage that we intended and I also got some extra scene shots of all the street art.
